Hello,
I think the hardware tuning of DCO2 is very hard to get fine. Depending of this, you will have more or less "swirling". Like a built-in phaser.
This parameter is easily programmable in a patch (DCO2 detune), but for built-in patches it is not... so these sounds will feel "dull" or "lively" depending of this hardware setting.
The closer i could get on mine is a phase of about 30 seconds between DCOs. Then to get "spot on" i have to put the new "fine tune" parameter of the Kiwi upgrade to 61 instead of 63/64.
Also, the service manual seems to have different layouts of the main board depending of version number...

P.S.: Idea! By the way, this could be a global setting in the new Kiwi to be sure than patch sound equally on all JX-3Ps. Beeing global, this setting will be attached to the hardware, not to the patch. It could be a little offset value ranging from -5 to +5 applied to all "DCO fine tune".
