Oh no, Murray! I wasn't suggesting that you find another way.

I was just lamenting (which somehow I knew was inevitable for me anyway) that I have to do a whole studio rewiring.

I recently got a Cirklon (made by Sequentix) for my sequencing needs, and the JX-8p. Once I got the Cirklon, I realized I'd probably have to rewire (crawl under the desk, and in a cramped space far to small for my 255lb frame, pull / reconnect a 10 year multitude of tangled wire mess).

your method is the easiest way (along with the suggested midi thru box). My <sigh> is because I know what lies ahead for me, and I don't relish it one bit.
