Hello,
I found a behaviour of the envelopes that is different from the original
JX3P, but I am not sure about whether the new behaviour is better or
worse than the original one:
What is it about:
Use the standard string sound of tone A1. Then set the VCA release to
the maximum (=16) and the VCA attack to a value 13.
Now play a six-voice chords. Example C1 C2 with the left hand. C3 E3 G3
C4 with the right hand. Repeat this chord.
If you do this with the kiwitechnics JX3P, then the envelopes of the
sounding voices get resetted by the new notes. The release is killed and
the attack starts from the beginning. This is more like samples would
behave.
If you do this with the original JX3P, then the envelopes of already
sounding voices continue with a new note there, where the release was at
the moment of the new keypress. This is how real analogue envelopes
would behave.
I don't want to judge whether the one or the other way is better, but I
think we should get some common oppinion, which way is preferred.
What do you think?
