Hello,
I installed the 3P upgrade last weekend. So I will take the opportunity
to start the discussion here and talk a bit about my first impressions.
First of all: The arpeggiator, chordmemory and pattern are great
improvements. Set an arpeggio, enable the pattern with most steps muted,
and then enable one after the other pattern step: A great possibility to
 build an evolving structure!
And I have to admit, that my original idea of the pattern was a
littlebit different: the pattern should be a trigger source for the
arpeggio or the sequencer - as I used until now a TR-808
 instrument-trigger to clock the sequencer.
Now I am looking forwared longingly for the sequencer to work again in
 normal envelope mode.
Also the new method for the hold function is perfect (at least for me).
Of course editing this "new" JX-3P still needs getting used to for me.
Nevertheless one thing is really disturbing for me: The display of the
LFOs speed is quite irritating, because I am never shure, whether I am
in edit mode AA/BB/whatever or whether this is a LFO blinking -
especially with one very slow LFO while the LED is in the offphase and
the other LFO at midtempo. I could imagine to have no LED blinking in
normal mode. If I edit the LFO speed (B12 or BB12), then the Value-LED
might blink in the speed (if the value it self is not enough).
And finally: does setting the envelope speed work for you? Tape -> D ->
 1/2/3? I do not see/hear any change.
