Thanks for the tips.
I think the eBay man to whom you refer is Chipforbrains: I e-mailed
him maybe a year or two ago, but didn't get a reply. Might be worth
trying him again as he seems quite busy.
As I recall from the 707 service notes, the pot is a dual 50KB, so
you're right, replacing it with a 100K ohm would work, but
unfortunately, try as I might, I just can't seem to track down on of
the correct dimensions to use as a drop-in replacement.
The hard-wired 75% volume solution would work too, but I am really
trying to restore this machine to it's former glory.
