Okay....the start/stop issue is fixed. I had to clean up and re-solder a couple of ribbon cables. The volume issue still remains. All I can think is that the resistors and jumpers are hooked up wrong and/or are using the wrong value Here is what it looks like, as given to me. Please see the attached photo. Does this look right
